A stump grinder based in Seneca

One job, done well: stumps and the roots around them, between Lake Hartwell and the foothills.

Central Park, Seneca, about 1905

How we work

Most jobs start with a photo. You send a picture of the stump with a tape across it, tell us the town and the narrowest gate, and we send back a price. If the photo can’t answer something, like how far a root runs or how steep a bank is, we come and look before quoting.

On the day, buried lines have been marked through SC811. We grind each stump about six inches below the soil, deeper if you’re planting or building there, then rake the grindings back into the hole so the spot is level rather than a pit. If you’d rather have the chips gone or spread in a bed, that’s on the quote too.

What we quote

Stumps are priced by the inch across the widest part of the cut, with a minimum per visit. Surface roots, tight access and hauling away grindings are listed separately, so you can see what each part costs and leave out what you don’t need.

Where we go

Seneca first, then Clemson, Walhalla, Westminster, Salem, West Union, Fair Play, Six Mile, Central, Pendleton, Townville and the lots around Lake Keowee. If you’re within about half an hour of Seneca, ask.
